Keep herself—and everyone else—safe is to keep her distance. But not even Limos can save herself from the secrets she’s kept . . . or resist the seductive allure of one very brave human.

Arik Wagner knows the saying “love hurts” better than most, yet he never thought stealing a kiss from Limos would land him in Hell. Literally. It takes all his military training to survive the demon torture, but once he’s topside, Arik realizes that the agony has just begun. With the Apocalypse looming and Satan demanding his bride, will Arik and Limos surrender to the desire smoldering between them? Or will giving in to their passion unleash hell on earth? (Goodreads)

Another smash hit series delivered by Ione!  The Lords of Deliverance does not disappoint.  Not only do we get a whole new set of characters to fall in love with, there is also guest appearances from her original coveted Demonica cast (oh how I miss them)!  This is the second book in the series and when I found out I was reviewing this book I picked up Eternal Rider and read it first.  Those of you who have read Ione’s work before know that you CANNOT start her books half way through a series and get everything out of her stories!  So, do yourself a favour and start withEternal Rider and then move onto this gem of a book!  Who would have thought a simple kiss could start the end of the world!

Ione’s unique talent for writing such dark, intriguing and down right captivating books amaze me.  I have to say Eternal Rider so far has been my favourite out of the series so far but Immortal Rider did not disappoint.  Her characters make this book a success; Arik is one of the most dynamic, fluid characters I have ever read.  His loyalty, trust, strength and passion make this story epic.  Limos is such a powerful leading lady, I didn’t think any male could match her, but boy did she find one.  Arik and Limos are two halves of a coin and that fit together perfectly.  I hope that they have learnt their lessons from this book for the future; secrets and lies make everything a whole lot worse!

There were so many subplots in this story that you can just anticipate what may come in future books.  I am impatiently waiting for pestilence’s book as he has been the one horseman that has been truly evil from the start and I hope the group can restore him so I can see what the laid back party horseman was like! However, Than’s is next in line and the wrongs that have been done to him in this book lead up to a very intriguing third instalment of this mouth watering series!
