Sum It Up! Fans of Midnight Breed, watch out!

Summary:
Twenty years after the terror of First Dawn--when mankind learned that vampires lived secretly among them--the threat of violence reigns as the two species struggle to coexist. The only group preserving the fragile harmony is the Order, an elite cadre of Breed warriors dedicated to protecting humans and vampires alike. And in this precarious world of torn loyalties and shattered trust, Mira, a fiery squad captain, finds that every fight bears an intensely personal cost.

Raised among the Order, Mira has always believed in the warrior's code of swift--and even lethal--justice. But the one thing she desires more than the Order's hard-won acceptance is Kellan Archer, a sexy but troubled Breed fighter. In love with him since childhood, Mira once broke through his tough exterior during an unexpected night of rapture, but the next day he mysteriously disappeared, never to return.
Kellan didn't think he would ever see Mira again--or have to confront the truth of why he left. After abandoning the Order years ago, he now leads a band of human rebels intent on carrying out their own vigilante rule of law. Yet a high-profile kidnapping assignment brings him face-to-face with the past he sought to avoid, and the striking woman he has tried desperately to forget. And as tensions mount and the risk of bloodshed grows, Kellan and Mira must take sides--between the competing missions that dominate their lives, and the electrifying passion that claims their hearts.
Review:
When fans last saw the Midnight Breed, all of Breed Warriors, and their mates were expecting their own bundles of joy. Now those bundles are all grown up and ready to take their rightful places within the Order.
One of the biggest debates among fans has been who will Mira end up with—Kellan or Nathan? Well, looks like Kellan won hands down. But, their happy ending may be short lived. When Kellan sees a vision in Mira's eyes, this leads him to fake his own death after a deadly explosion. After eight years of believing him dead, fate intervenes, and not only does it literally throw Mira back into his arms, but makes it impossible for the love-struck couple to evade her vision.
As always, readers can depend on Adrian to write a heart-stopping tale full of violence and mayhem as well. The only thing lacking was the interaction between the young ones, and the original members of the Order. With all of the events taking place involving Kellan, for Laszlo Archer not to be in the mix at any point in time throughout the book is inconceivable, especially given that Kellan was his last surviving relative.
Readers will be rewarded with heart breaking scenes between Rennie and her Mouse and Niko; Lucan and his carbon copy of a son, Darion; Tess and her gorgeous healing warrior so, Rafe. Hopefully in the next book there will be more interactions, the one I look forward to the most is Nathan and Hunter. Though both were created in a lab to be nothing more than killers, what happened when Hunter took on the role as Nathan's father after he and Corrine finally found the boy.
All and all, Edge of Dawn is still a great read. Fans of Midnight Breed, watch out! The offspring will make you fall in love with them just as much as their parents did. And though they have ridden themselves of one enemy, Dragos, a much more formidable, and ancient enemy is on the scene, and intent of destroying the Breed race once and for all.
