Review:

This novel was surprisingly good. The plot, though done before, had a few twists to keep it "novel." The characters, particularly Jonas, will stick with the reader long after finishing this book. Jonas has desired Deanna for a long time. He isn't one to take "no" for an answer and the reader can tell from his pursuit of Deanna that he is remarkably driven.

When Deanna and Jonas finally begin to fall in love, the story takes off. The author plays off the sexual tension underlying the novel perfectly. The reader will literally feel the characters deciding what to do with the potential relationship and how to act towards one another. The author sets out to convince the reader of the possibility of an explosive relationship between Jonas and Deanna and accomplishes it whole-heartedly. The reader will find that Jonas and Deanna have a developed relationship, a far cry from the usual "insta-relationships." There are plenty of steamy and erotic love scenes in this book. Jonas is the true "man's man," he carries Deanna around a lot and has a heavy influence on her in the novel. This book is recommended to adult readers.
