In this installment of the series' ten years has lapsed. Janie is now sixteen, still being visited by Kalin and Zane, all grown up, in the dream world. Garett, Talon and Cara's son, is a healthy ten year old boy, tho in vampire years thats a little older than what one may think. Ever since book 1 readers have been watching the bickering and bantering between Jordan and Katie, and their undyling love for each other, tho they couldn't even see it for themselves. When Jordan is infected with the deadly virus taking out vampire mates and turning shifters into werewolves, all these feelings are coming to a head. Consumed veers more into the past of both Katie and Jordan, giving fans the long awaited glimpse into their past and a deeper look into their hearts.
