Sum It Up! Douglas is a true series writer. Her ability to go back to the first book (Dancing with Werewolves) and pull out points into Virtual Virgin (the fifth book in the series) is astounding!

She’s Like a Virgin . . . Simulated for the Very First Time

For a red-blooded male, Las Vegas offers a virtual smorgasbord of temptation: sexy showgirls, vampy vampires, zombie starlets, you name it. But paranormal investigator Delilah Street isn’t worried about losing her man to these vixens. Especially when the one woman with a soft spot for the guy also has a hard-shelled exterior. . . .

She’s a robot—or a CinSim, to be exact—a near-perfect simulation of the silver-metal robot Maria from the classic science fiction movie Metropolis. Part innocent teenage actress, part depraved sex goddess, the new Maria is hooked on Delilah’s partner, Ric, who raised her from the dead. She also happens to be the perfect secret weapon for a demonic drug lord. Which could be one hell of a problem. Delilah’s not the jealous type, but this tin-can temptress must be stopped—even if it forces Delilah to forge a dangerous alliance with her wicked mirror-twin, Lilith. If robo-girl goes ballistic, every player in Vegas loses. . . .  (Amazon)

Review:
Delilah Street is an interesting character. It is evident that she has gone through a lot in her life and career from basic annoyances to paranormal creatures attempting to eat her/ own her. In this exciting book, Delilah is faced with yet another paranormal issue. Ric, Delilah's best friend and lover, has become the eye candy for a deprived robot. Delilah now must fight for Ric and save Vegas from this tin can twin.

Virtual Virgin by Carole Nelson Douglas is a complicated book to read. There are so many plot lines and characters that I had to keep up with, I became lost often referencing previous pages and chapters. However, I had not read the other books in the series and I will be the first to admit it is what through me off from the start. Douglas is a true series writer. Her ability to go back to the first book (Dancing with Werewolves) and pull out points into Virtual Virgin (the fifth book in the series) is astounding! I have read many series that lose focus fast so this is an honorable feat. Douglas also proves to have a great deal of knowledge in the productions of movies/ films. It is refreshing to know the information in the story is not author willed, but comes from honest research in the subject. Virtual Virgin is an excellent read, but before you pick it up be sure to read the other books in the series!
