Sharon Page has done something that very few authors do; she has surprised me with a story that has deception, eroticism, twists and humor.

Lucy Drake prepares to give her most valuable gift to the Duke of Greystone to save her family from financial ruin. She believes the Duke is a scoundrel, who would love to make her beg for forgiveness of her brother’s debts. Yet, she harbors a secret that if revealed, would endanger her family. 

The Duke accepts her price on the condition she stays a fortnight with him. When she agrees to his terms, she begins to learn more about her brother’s treachery and deceptions, the Duke’s true reason’s for accepting her conditions, and the secret her father kept even after his death.

Blood Secret starts as an erotic adventure for Lucy Drake but then quickly turns into a forbidden love story. With the Duke being a dragon slayer and she being a dragon, they find passion and strength in each other as they solve they mysteries of their past and secure their future. The perfectly executed twists in the story enhance the love story and the development of the main characters. I look forward to the next exciting tale in the Blood Series.
