Sum It Up! As their bags are packed and the two emerge from their romantic cocoon, my heart ached with the joy over their HEA.

Dannie Marino is hiking with colleagues when a sudden blizzard separates her from her group. She's rescued by Lee, a dangerously sexy stranger who leads her to a remote cabin to weather the storm.
When the night inevitably ends in an intense erotic encounter, Dannie is both shocked and liberated by her response. But being intimate means letting herself be vulnerable, which isn't her style. Lee tries to reach out to her, but she avoids any emotional entanglement by pushing him away.
Snowed in and unable to hide from each other, Dannie and Lee must both face up to their most closely guarded emotions. When the storm abates, will they be able to stop running from the past and live fully in the future? (Goodreads)
Review: This short story seems to follow a theme that several of my last few books have had…the broken hero. Lee survived two major tragedies in his life, and he still has not learned to come to terms with the pain. Changing everything in your life does not always mean becoming someone new…
Dannie too is a broken heroine. She is a devoted, caring nurse by trade, but the years of giving to others have slowly drained her very essence. Hoping to clear her mind, Dannie joins some work colleagues on a hike that quickly turns sour. I felt scared and lonely with Dannie. Her rescue couldn't have come soon enough. Dannie lost in a snow storm is rescued by Lee, who seems to be too good to be true.
Over the course of the snowy weekend, these two learn to open up to each other and confide their deepest feelings. I loved watching these two take a chance on a second love for each of them. While Lee was scared to love again for his reasons, he had his work cut out for him to convince Dannie that he was worth the risk to love again. As their bags are packed and the two emerge from their romantic cocoon, my heart ached with the joy over their HEA. Enjoy!
