Review:

Dr. Susanna Duchamp sacrificed everything she loved and ever wanted to protect her daughter. As a Chosen, her obligations to her kind, does not ease the emptiness in her heart.  Coerced into turning in the only person she truly loved, Susanna’s view of her kind leaves her driven to find a cure for ailing daughter. The opportunity to repay a debt to a friend leads to an amazing medical discovery and brings her face to face with the man she betrayed.

Seven years has past when Jacques La Roche found himself in New Orleans with no memory of his past. He makes a new life with a booming business and friends, when Susanna enters his bar.  Jacques, instantly drawn to her even though their races are at odds, begins to remember little things as he gets to know her more.  When danger comes to his kind and to her, he does everything within his power to protect all, especially Susanna.

Seekers of Shadows is one of the most complex love stories which has you asking how far will a person go for love. . Nancy Gideon’s writing style draws you in from the very first line to the last leaving you satiated yet wanting more.  The betrayal, the deception, and the heartbreak make this story a frenzied rollercoaster ride with an unthinkable ending. The animosity between the Shifters and the Chosen only add depth to the already tense story. The tumultuous climax of the story leads to more deception and lies from the least likely of characters. For those who loved the first five books in the Moonlight series, this one does not disappoint.  Do not pass up the chance to read this imaginative yet truthful look at love and sacrifice.
