It starts with a whisper: “It’s time for you to know who you are…”

Violet Eden dreads her seventeenth birthday. After all, it’s hard to get too excited about the day that marks the anniversary of your mother’s death. As if that wasn’t enough, disturbing dreams haunt her sleep and leave her with very real injuries. There’s a dark tattoo weaving its way up her arms that wasn’t there before.

Violet is determined to get some answers, but nothing could have prepared her for the truth. The guy she thought she could fall in love with has been keeping his identity a secret: he’s only half-human—oh, and same goes for her.

A centuries-old battle between fallen angels and the protectors of humanity has chosen its new warrior. It’s a fight Violet doesn’t want, but she lives her life by two rules: don’t run and don’t quit. When angels seek vengeance and humans are the warriors, you could do a lot
worse than betting on Violet Eden…

Review:
Unbelievably fantastic and now my favorite book of 2012! Shirvington delivers a well written story containing romance, mystery, deception, remorse and strong sexual tension! This book
is a compelling page turner that will have the audience's full attention as the anticipation of the story will completely consume you.

Embrace centers around Violet, who is trying to move forward with her life after enduring a traumatic event in her past. She finds comfort in her friend Lincoln, who she spends a majority of her time with in the past two years and also knows she is in love with him but soon she
discovers the truth about Lincoln and her whole world comes apart. As Violet takes time to decide if she wants to be a part of the world she has just discovered she takes comfort in a mysterious man (Phoenix) who also turns out to be more than she ever expected.

There are so many wonderful aspects to this book and one of the strongest are the characters. Violet is a girl you will easily find likeable and genuine. She's strong when she needs to be but also vulnerable at the same time and when she is faced with unthinkable decisions she handles them better than most adults would. Also, let's not forget the two men in her life, Lincoln and Phoenix, who are so completely different but you find yourself cheering for both of them to
win Violet's affections.

If you have not already got your copy of Embrace, get it now! Entice, the second in the series is due to hit shelves in September.
