Summary
New York Times bestselling author Lynsay Sands delivers a wickedly fun Argeneau novel featuring a vampire ready to claim his mate and the beauty who resists her fate!

A kiss doesn’t mean eternity . . .

Valerie Moyer doesn’t believe in vampires—until she is kidnapped by a fanged psychopath! After escaping her bloodthirsty captor, she’s through with creatures of the night. Until she finds herself under the protection of the darkly handsome Anders. Not only is she expected to accept that Anders is immortal, but also that she is the woman destined to be his life mate!

. . . Or does it?

Anders felt a connection to Valerie from the moment he cradled her bruised body in his arms. But before he claims her, he must destroy the vampire who almost stole her from him forever. His job would be easier if Valerie didn’t fight him every step of the way. Still, Anders loves a challenge, and the green-eyed beauty is worth fighting for! (Goodreads)

Review -
By far the best Argeneau book I have read, with the exception of The Lady is a Vamp, in quite a while. The heroine of this installment does not fit the usual status-quo. Rather than sit around as the damsel in distress, she takes matters into her own hands and rescues herself, more than once. And shes' only mortal.
Some fans of this series' had begun to dwindle away, me included, because a lot of the books were seeming like a repeat. Well, after this book and the one just before I can happily say, YOU MUST NOW COME BACK!! Just be prepared to laugh your head off, fall in love with yet another couple and revisit one of the fave couples of this series', Lucian and Leigh.
Valerie is a local vet who learns the hard way walking your dog isn't as safe as it used to be. But after going through her tragic ordeal, fate may throw her a curve ball that will make all of her suffering worthwhile. Anders could never understand why his colleagues seemed to lose their ever loving minds once they found their lifemates, honestly, they seemed to be dropping like flies. Well, now that he may have found his own life mate, he can sort of sympathize. After reading Immortal Ever After, fans will see that Anders may be the best deserving of all to finally find a lifemate after the tragedies he had to endure at a very young age.
Sands has reeled fans back in with this one hands down. She cuts short the explanation of the immortals origin, oh, its still in there, just not as drawn out. There are quite a few updates on the couples we all love. And most excitedly, the long anticipated arrival of Lucian and Leigh's bundle of joy. After the devastating miscarriage of their first pregnancy, nothing can possibly go wrong this time around, hopefully. Get ready to LOL, shed a couple tears and smile til your face nearly cracks. I am definitely declaring this a Must Read.
