When Mae-June July Augustine hightailed it out of Sultry Springs, Texas, with her heart in pieces, she swore she'd never return. But nine years later, one thing stands between June and her dream of opening an upscale martini bar: a month of community service under the supervision of the devilishly sexy Luke Gallagher, her first love and ex-best friend. As lust turns to love, June must decide where she belongs: in the glorious anonymity of Austin or back in Sultry Springs with the man who intoxicates her like no other. (Goodreads)

Review:
May, June, July, August...or as they call Mae-June July Augustine, Just June (please...her voice begging not to be teased once again for her ridiculous name). As the child of two cheerful, fun-loving alcoholics, Mae-June was raised by her puritan grandmother. Then when tragedy strikes, Luke, her best friend and only true love, moves into her grandmother's house too. While the two raise hell and fight their attraction, their lives only become more entwined. When Mae-June decided to tell Luke once and for all her heart...he stomped on it and she ran. Ran like hell and did the only thing she knew she was good at...Mix drinks!

Now, one of Huston's most sought after mixologists, June is setting up her own club. Classy, elegant, and high end...everything she could ever dream of...until some old bogus warrant for her arrest has her high tailing it back to Sultry Springs to get her real life back on track. I loved that! Only in a small town can a judge get you to come back home for a visit by putting out a warrant for your arrest!

Then surprise, surprise...Luke is also back in town...and he has a lot of 'splainin' to do! I love how June fights her attraction to Luke, while Luke realizing what he missed out on all those years ago, has a mind to not let her go again. Then, with them sneaking around on grandma, let the games begin. If you are looking for a sweet, fun and entertaining second chances story, this would be it. Good writing, sweet lovin' and a great HEA. Enjoy!
