Sum It Up!  This book is for readers who love a good romance with a little violence thrown in. Just not for die hard vampire fans.
A VAMPIRE’S KISS. A WOMAN’S SURRENDER.

Tall, dark, mysterious—and with a faint scar on his cheek that only makes him more gorgeous—Kaiden Thorne is one schoolgirl obsession Skylynn never forgot. Now, returning to her childhood home after eight years, she can’t believe her reclusive neighbor is still living across the street—and hotter than ever. Skylynn doesn’t know how Kaiden manages to stay so young, virile, and impossibly attractive. But she knows she wants him…even if he harbors a fearful secret he refuses to tell her.

When Kaiden sees the beautiful young woman Skylynn has become, he can no longer control the bloodlust that is his true nature. Once he pulls Skylynn into his arms, presses his lips against hers—and accidentally draws blood—he longs for more. Only she possesses what he wants and what he needs. Only she can save him or destroy him. But once Skylynn agrees to help Kaiden battle his darkest desires, there is no turning back… (Goodreads)

Review:
For a romance, this book was very well written and thought out and thought out. For a paranormal romance........
Not to say this was a bad book there just was no originality or depth to it. Also, a lot of references were made to Twilight, and let’s face it, that was not exactly a pioneer or vampirsm. Not enough was explained, in this story Nyx, the one who turned Kaiden, was an original vampire, but how vampirism even came to be was never even referenced to. There was potential for this to be a great tail, if only there was more research and detail.
As far as love stories go, this was beautifully told. Kaiden Thorne lived across the street from Skylynn for the duration of her life. As a child he wanted nothing more than to see her safe, as a young adult he found himself fantasizing about her, as a fully grown woman he finds himself desiring her above all else. Skylnn has also had a huge crush on the mysterious neighbor across the street, the one who never seems to age. Upon moving back home to her Granddas place, she finds that her darkest desires just may come true. But Thorne has a problem, one that could prove deadly. For years he has been taking a potion that has allowed him to not only walk in sunlight without being fried, but also able to consume mortal food instead of blood. When this potion runs out he finds himself wanting more from Sky than just companionship.
The main saving grace in this book was the supporting characters, Sam and Lisa. Though their affair was short and bittersweet, readers will be rooting for them until the brutal end.
This book is for readers who love a good romance with a little violence thrown in. Just not for die hard vampire fans.

  1. I'm a bit scared to read this one. I'm not sure how I feel about your self described 'brutal' end. It does look kinda great though :)

    1. Lol. Don't be, like I said there's just a lil violence, not a ton of blood and gore (to my dismay, lol). ;-)
