Review:

Sweetbloods are the hottest commodity on the black market for vampires. With blood so intoxicating, vampires, known as Darkbloods, will stop at nothing to kidnap one. Jackson Foss, a Guardian vampire, protects Sweetbloods even though their blood calls to him. However, Jackson harbors a secret, his need for blood increases everyday. As his secret begins showing itself the moment he saves Arianna and her niece Krystal from Darkbloods, Jackson struggles to maintain control as well as hide his feelings for a woman he cannot control, Arianna.

Arianna Wells past haunts her everyday. She believed monsters in the shadows killed her mother when she was young. At that time Arianna was not aware she could see Darkbloods moving within the shadows, something no ordinary human can do. For years, she used her anonymous blog to find the truth about what she has seen as well as any other paranormal activity. Arianna’s fears become a reality when her niece Krystal comes to live with her. Darkbloods try to kidnap Krystal and Jackson comes to the rescue starting a chain of events that changes Arianna’s life forever.

Tempted by Blood is a well- written, engaging story that takes vampire lore to a whole new level. The storyline is full of twists although the betrayer is easy to discover. The secondary characters are just as lively as the main characters adding depth and cohesiveness to the story and pulling readers further in. Tempted by Blood is a wonderful addition to the Sweetblood series and one that no fan should over-look.
