Unforgettable Pleasure

Ally Kendal knows returning to her hometown to sell her mother's house isn't going to be easy. She left in disgrace years ago and hasn't been back since. But she's never forgotten the one man who awakened in her a secret yearning for wildly erotic sexual pleasure. . .

Undeniable Desire

Rob Ward is surprised at the surge of desire he feels when he first sees Ally after all this time. He's gotten over the betrayal he felt when he found her and his best friend together on the eve of his wedding, but it's obvious he's never given up wanting her. And now that she's back he'll show her what she's missed, how good he makes her feel, how easy it is for him to take control and bring her to the edge of sweet surrender. . .  (Goodreads)

This is Erotica with a back story, a current suspenseful situation, and a promising future...my favorite! There were things I liked about the story and things that could have been better.

I love Ally and she seems so real that it is impossible not to connect with her. Rob on the other hand is written so stiff and dominate, I found it hard to even associate emotion with him. Jackson is the character I think should have been written better. I like what I know about him and he appeals to my nice quite guy soft spot, but I want to know more. There are so many holes that need filling with Jackson that I am left frustrated.

The suspense and drama throughout the story is entertaining. I thought the “who-done-it” was pretty easy to guess fairly early, but the suspense lay in the drama unfolding to get to that point. I liked Lauren as the antagonist to help build Ally’s character, but she was also the link to the possibility of Rob having a softer side.

Now let’s get to the sex! Referring to my list at the beginning of my review it’s not hard to guess there is A LOT of sex, VERY detailed sex. What I liked about it is that it really helped with character development both independently and romantically. It’s also really hot and steamy sex! What I thought could have been done better: there was one too many sex scenes and I began to feel like I stepped into a porn script, and the one thing that irked me the most throughout the entire book, is the quantity of orgasms Ally would have in every sex scene…I’m serious.

All that being said, I really enjoyed this book. It really catches your attention and makes it hard to put down.
