With the Ring of Sorrows still missing, and the covenant between othernaturals and mortals broken, Chrysabelle and Malkolm’s problems are just beginning. Chrysabelle still owes Malkolm for his help, but fulfilling that debt means returning to Corvinestri, the hidden vampire city where neither is welcome. (Goodreads)

Flesh and Blood introduces readers to another novel just as thrilling and original as the first. The fluid and crisp imagery, characters, and events readers will expect from Kristen Painter after the first in the series, Blood Rights, in ever present in the second installment. Mal and Chrysabelle are beginning to get to know one another as their slow but intriguing romance grows. The characters that readers loved from book one are back, excluding Chrysabelle's mother and a few bad guys, and new characters are presented. One in particular readers are sure to love.

Flesh and Blood picks right back up with the action from where Blood Rights left off. Readers are encouraged to start with book 1 before moving on to Flesh and Blood. Look out for Bad Blood out now!
